We Need Secrets is the solo bedroom shoegaze project of Chad Peck (Kestrels, Union Of The Snake and the mighty Noyes Records, Halifax/Nova Scotia/CA). Unlike most ‘solo projects’, We Need Secrets utilizes a full rock band setup with drums, bass and Chads trademark fuzz guitar. Rather introspective and at times experimental, yet always keeping the focus on the songwriting, which is outstanding and refreshingly unique. Think Kestrels crossed with Eric’s Trip and some Sonic Youth thrown in and you’re halfway there - or just listen for yourself here: weneedsecrets.bandcamp.com. 60 tapes were made.

Featuring the guitar player and drummer of Grave, Shovel… Let’s Go!, We Fade To Grey are more laid back, yet more complex and experimental, wrinting songs which are as intriguing as they are catchy. Perhaps they are the missing link between Monochrome and Medications (whose Devin Ocampo mastered the record), in any case it is a damn fine debut album. 300 copies made on 180g vinyl and in thick cardboard covers with printed inner sleeve.
